Beauty Tuesday: Ulta Haul April 2016

Hello lovelies!

I hope you are having a fabulous Tuesday so far. Sorry this post is so late but life. lol. Am I right? Today, I thought I would give you a peek at some things I bought from Ulta this weekend. I went in there to get my mom a birthday present and ended up buying myself a couple of things as well.

Best of Becca Blushed Radiance

I am new to the whole Becca scene. I really wanted the highlighter in Champagne Pop but they do not carry that at Ulta. I thought I would get this small kit to try out to see if I like Becca products. The kit comes with:

Mineral Blush in Flowerchild

Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight Wand

Backlight Priming Filter

Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal.

20160405_204844

Here they are swatched Opal, Flowerchild, Spotlight wand and Primer. Can I just say, that highlighter tho. I barley touched it and the payoff looks fantastic. Same with the blush. Love that color! I am excited to play around with these products and see how I like them.

This kit was $32.50 Value is $60.00

That is one thing I love about kits. You get a lot of products to try from a brand for a great value which is great.

Mally Must-Haves 4 Piece Collection

20160405_205117

Once again, I have never tried Mally products but I have always wanted to. I just kinda saw this randomly and thought I would give it a go since it had the defender compact in it. When I opened up the kit….They are all FULL SIZED products! My mouth fell open. I did not expect that. Usually in kits, you get small products to sample before you buy the full sized but all of these are full sized products for only $39.00. Retail Value is $105.00. Amazing. The kit comes with:

Evercolor Poreless Face Defender

H3 Lip Gloss (H3 stands for hydration, hydration, hydration) in Pink Daisy

Evercolor Shadow Stick Extra in Burnished Bronze

Volumizing Mascara

That Shadow stick may be my new best friend and that lip gloss color is so pretty!

Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner

20160405_205246

Yes, I know. I am late to the bandwagon with this one but I have been putting it off forever because I hear so many mixed reviews but I found a small sample size for $12.00 and thought I would give it a try. You know those counters by the registers, gets you every time.

I am excited to test out these products and review them further for you guys later. Let me know if you have used any of these products or if you are going to rush out to pick up any of these kits yourself!

Fabulous or Fail Friday: 3D Eye Lift Cream

Hello Lovelies! I hope you had a great Friday. I am sorry this blog post is going up so late but I have been going non stop today.

I was sent this eye cream to review and I thought the best way to review it on my blog was to do a pros and cons list. I really hope you enjoy!

IMG_20160402_002418

Pros:

  • I love the packaging. I think it is sleek and easy to use.
  • I love the way this “cream” feels when I apply it to my eye area
  • It dries fast and sinks into the skin easily.

Cons:

  • It did nothing for me. I noticed no changes after using it twice a day for about 2 weeks.
  • It did not help to lighten or remove my dark circles
  • It is not a cream product per say. It is more of a gel.
  • I don’t know if this was from this eye cream but when I started using it, my eyes got really red and irritated at first for a few days but it went away about 3 days later. That could have been due to allergies or anything else but I thought I would include it just in case because it did happen right when I used this product for the first time.

Overall, I do not think this eye cream is for me. I noticed no change and I have had better results with other products.

I would have to say that this product is a:

Fail

Thoughtful Thursday: Inspirational Quote Series

Hello Lovelies!

I was sent this print and I could not believe that it was one of my most favorite quotes ever and I just had to share.

20160331_193121

This is such an inspirational quote to me. It reminds me that I need to put fear behind me because sometimes the outlook is worth it. I am always worried that I am going to fall or fail and there are times where I am thinking of giving up and then I will read this and remind myself that I could fall…but what if I don’t? What if I fly?

The Packaging:

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the effort and extra mile this company does to make you feel special? They took time to calligraphy my name and spelled it right which is rare. They tied it with beautiful string and wrapped it in plastic which is good because the mail person left it out in the rain -_- I was pissed.

They wrote a note on the back saying they hoped I enjoyed my print. I cannot wait to get a frame for this and I am going to hang it where I can see it every day to remind myself not to give up and that fear should not conquer me. I can do everything that I put my mind to and it is alright to fail and fall because sometimes, just sometimes, I will fly as well.

I hope this post inspired you to not give up on your dreams and not let fear run your life. Remember What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?

Review Wednesday: May Designs Planner and Giveaway!

Hello Lovelies! I have recently got into the whole planner craze and I am LOVING IT! I have so much going on in my life that I had to start writing things down and so I am trying a few different types of planners to see what suits me best for home and on the go.

One planner that I absolute adore on the go is the May Designs Planner. This planner is small and easily carried around in your purse or bag but on the inside, there is so much room to write and design and plan! Did I tell you that you can customize it? YES! I could not believe it. I am all about that life.

This is what the front of mine looks like.

20160312_114136

When I found out that I could customize it myself, my mind went directly to this Harry Potter Quote. I was super excited to find that it fit and I could use it! You get to put whatever you want, you can choose the shape and the colors as well. You also get to choose the font. I love the marble look of this planner.

20160324_194541

This is the first page that you see when you open it up. On the other side, you can write your name and whatnot. I would personally never use this except to see what day a certain day of the month falls on. I guess it is more so a year at a glance for future planning.

20160324_194553

The first page after initially opening the planner is this page. You can write your goals, your social media, family names and numbers, whatever you want. It also has a cute quote at the top. This is a good page to keep you inspired to achieve your goals or to look back and see if you have accomplished any and got to mark them off the list!

20160324_194601

Then you have this full calendar so you can write birthdays and events here if you like. This is personally up to you.

20160324_194619

This is the section that I love. Not only do you get a full calendar, but you get each day of the week with a full space to write out your schedule. I found this was plenty of space since this is a planner on the go for me. Love this feature!

20160324_194650.jpg

At the back, you have the notes section. This is great for grocery shopping and writing down appointments or jotting down ideas.

Overall, I think this is a great planner. The only thing I would change is maybe adding an inspirational quote at the beginning of each new month, maybe have a goals page at the beginning of each month since goals can change and maybe laminating the cover. I love the feel and look of the cover but since this is an on the go planner, I feel like I have to be overly careful since it is not laminated.

Mommy Monday: My First Amazon Pantry Order

Hello Lovelies! So, if you are a mom, you know how tiring it is to have to run to the grocery store all the time or out to do errands with the in and out of the car seat and the temper tantrums etc. You feel me right? Well, I am an avid Amazon shopper to begin with and I saw the Pantry option and thought I would check it out! I don’t think I will ever leave my house again! They have so many things to choose from and by the time I use gas and everything else counted into the cost, it is much cheaper to get it off Amazon. I thought I would share my first pantry order experience with you guys. I bought all of this with my own money. I am not getting paid to talk about this. I just thought I would help out the other struggling moms out there who may be looking for an easier option!

20160323_174142

This is the box that my order came in. They over package it. I guess that is good. I could have done without this big box though. It did serve its purpose well as a trash can later though =)

They wrapped each individual product as well.My husband got some peanut oil and some shampoo.

20160323_174404

I am a huge fan of this Method line of cleaners. We do not have a Target close to where I live so I am so glad I can get these off Amazon. Plant based and the best cleaner I have ever tried!

20160323_174415

I also got Jax some Burt’s Bee’s Balm. This was much cheaper to get it from the Pantry than off Amazon or out of a store. You do have to pay $5.99 shipping unless you buy certain products BUT if you buy anything off of Amazon and use the no rush shipping, you get a $5.99 credit for the Pantry which cancels out the shipping. Regardless, I think it is still worth it to avoid the hassle.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Have you tried the pantry? Let me know !

Thoughtful Thursday: Inspirational Quote Series

Hello Lovelies! I am loving these Inspirational Quote Series post so I am going to keep doing them for a while. What do you guys think?

Today’s quote is:

tumblr_mdvnjtNaCB1rlzcq5o1_500

I have to use this quote quite a bit in life. There are times where we sit in the past and it ruins our present. Lately, I have been reevaluating my self and I notice that I do this a lot. It has hindered me moving forward in life and I am working on having more of a positive outlook and changing a lot of the ways that I am because of my past to better my present and future. This is going to take time but I already feel better and see that I look less into the past and more into the present. I want to learn to live in the moment. Is this something you have struggled with? Let me know!
